One after the other, ambitious new restaurants are opening in The Shard. After Oblix and Hutong, it’s now Aqua Shard‘s turn. What they all have in common are some pretty spectacular views across our city. And arguably Aqua Shard makes the most of it with its three-storey high bar that requires no reservation or cover charge and is open till 1am.
Unlike sibling Hutong (both are run by the Aqua Group), the menu at Aqua Shard stays close to home with modern British dishes such as Rhug Estate salt marsh lamb saddle with aubergine and goat’s cheese, Dover sole on the bone with iberico

It was never easy to get a table at El Celler de Can Roca in Girona. But since the restaurant won the title of ‘World’s Best Restaurant’ at the World’s 50 Best Restaurant awards 2013, it requires proper long term planning.
As Eater reports, the restaurant only accepts reservations 11 months in advance. The next 11 months are fully booked, but bookings for May 2014 are taken from today on +34 972 222 157.

Earth Day takes place on 22 April every year to increase awareness and garner support for environmental issues.
